Tim Kaine’s Bio/Early Life
Time Kaine was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on 26th February 1958. He is the eldest son of Albert Alexander Kaine and Mary Kathleen. His parents had mixed Irish and Scottish ancestry.
Kaine spent most of his childhood in Kansas City. He graduated from Rockhurst High School. He enrolled at the University of Missouri and completed his BA in economics in 1979. He received his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Harvard Law School in 1983.
Kaine married fellow Harvard law student Anne Holton in 1984. The couple has three children.

Kaine started work as a law clerk after graduating from Harvard. He served on the US Court of Appeals Judge R. Lanier Anderson III. He later joined the law firm Parsley & Cluverius, PC in Richmond.
In 1987, Kaine worked as the director of Mezzullo & McCandish, P.C. He practiced as an attorney for about 17 years. His area of specialization was fair housing law.
