I spent the next week training on-site with other new hires. While the mentors did teach me about the different insurance plans the company offered. They focused mostly on the different ways to approach people over the phone.
This included ways to learn about a potential customer’s background and suggest a plan that could appeal to them. I studied this approach carefully and began applying it when I started cold calling people the following week.
I lasted around four months at USHEALTH Advisors before quitting. The truth is that I wanted to leave after my first week. I stayed on only because I felt I would eventually get the hang of things and make more money. That did not happen.
I was working ten hours a day and seven days a week. I made over three hundred calls per day, but made a sale once every few days. If this wasn’t demotivating enough, I was paying fees for just about everything.
Fees for renting a cubicle, fees for phone access, and fees for access to the lead generation software I needed to make calls. I was paying for all this WITHOUT GETTING A BASE SALARY. USHEALTH Advisors’ pay structure is 100% commission based. So I wasn’t making any money on days I didn’t make a sale.
I joined the company thinking it couldn’t be as bad as a pyramid scheme. However, I can confidently say USHEALTH Advisors exploits you just as bad, if not worse, than a pyramid scheme.

USHEALTH Advisors asks its agents to pay numerous types of fees.
