In 2006, Mitchell had adopted the stage name Brisco[14]. He began by featuring on tracks from DJ Khaled’s Listennn… the Album in a guest appearance[15]. He did the same on Rick Ross’ Port of Miami[16]. In the latter album, he rapped with Lil Wayne.
In November of 2006, Lil Wayne signed Brisco to Crash Money Records[17].
